About Our Weddings Services:

We offer complete, professional coverage of your special day, from weddings party preparations to the departure of the happy couple ... and everything in between. We have many packages to choose from, which are negotiable to meet your needs. With both indoor and outdoor studios, a large selection of portraits settings are provided, and we also travel to the location of your choice. In addition, a beautiful outdoor location is available for your weddings, if it is needed and the weather permits.

We have a large selection of beautiful weddings invitations. When you hire us to photograph your weddings, you receive a discount on all invitations ... and your engagement photos are taken for you at no charge!

    Sessions can take place in our indoor studio or our outdoor studio, or we can travel to the location of your choice.

  2. Is there a consultation before the session?

    Yes. Ruthie's will meet with you before your weddings or special event so we can listen to what you want and need in order to give you the most desirable outcome. Consultations are also recommended for portraits sessions to discuss clothing and setting options. This can be done over the phone, as well.

  3. How long are the sessions?

    For weddings and special events, Ruthie's is available for you from start to finish. Other portraits sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the number of outfit and setting changes.

  4. How far in advance should I schedule a session?

    It is best if sessions are scheduled 1-2 weeks ahead of time, or even earlier depending on the time of year. Senior photos, weddings and special events should be scheduled as far in advance as possible to ensure availability.

  5. What if I can't make my appointment due to sickness or for some other reason?

    Sometimes things happen, and we understand that. We don't want you to come to your session if you're not feeling well. Please give us as much notice as possible, and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.

  6. How early should I arrive for my appointment?

    All sessions are scheduled in advance, so please just try to be on time. Arriving early or late may mean you will have to wait for someone else's session to finish or may shorten your session time. If you are running more than 15 minutes late, please call and let us know, as we may have to reschedule your session.

  7. If the session is for children, should I bring someone along to help me with them?

    We prefer that only one person accompany children, unless the others are scheduled for a session as well. We don't want the children to get overstimulated by too many people telling them how to look or act. We find the best photographs are produced when we can interact one-on-one with the children with as few others present in the room as possible.

  8. What type of clothing works best for black and white images?

    Darker colors are preferable, as this helps draw attention to the face of the subject being photographed.

  9. What type of clothing do you recommend for family portraitss?

    Attire that is simple works best. Solid colors and casual clothing are generally preferred. We suggest you avoid patterned, striped or other busy-looking clothes. Family portraitss look best when the clothing is coordinated. Since you may be sitting, clothing that is loose but well-fitting and shirts and shorts that are longer rather than very short are best. Longer-sleeved shirts tend to look better on adults. If you have small children or infants, it is best to keep just one look for the sessions, as they often get fussy with more than one clothing change. We always are willing to work with the moods of the children so other changes may be possible.

  10. What type of clothing do you recommend for infant or maternity sessions?

    Bare skin looks good for infants, but any outfits are fine. Again, because infants tend to get fussy with multiple outfit changes, it is best to keep these sessions to one or two looks. Please discuss maternity photos in advance of your session.

  11. What if I still don't know what clothing to use?

    For individual images, especially of children, almost any type of clothing works. If you are unsure, you can bring several outfits with you to your session and we can help you decide which ones would work best for the desired outcome or occasion.

  12. When can I see my portraitss?

    Images are usually ready five days after the session. If you need to see the images earlier than that, please discuss it with us in advance of your session.

  13. How long do you store images from sessions?

    Images are kept for 45 days after the session. After that, all ordered images are archived.

  14. Can I reorder images after the 45 days?

    Yes, you can order any images we still have on file. We only ask that your reorder is a minimum of $25.

  15. Do you offer shipping?

    Yes, you just need to place your order and we can ship to any address you choose.

  16. What form of payment do you accept?

    We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and money orders.

  17. When is payment expected?

    Payment is due in full at the time of ordering.

  18. How long do I have to wait after I place my order to get my pictures?

    Creating custom, high-quality photographic art takes time. Please allow up to three weeks for your order to be ready. However, most orders are ready sooner than this.

  19. What if I need my order sooner than three weeks?

    You can have your order rushed at an additional charge of 50 percent of your total order. Only full orders can be rushed. We cannot rush one part of a full order. Rush orders are guaranteed to be ready in 10 business days.

  20. Can I scan, copy, or download pictures I order?

    Professional photography is a work of art and it is illegal to reproduce these images in any form without express written permission from Ruthie's. It is also illegal to scan, upload or download or email images without written permission. The minimum fine for copyright infringement is $30,000. Ruthie's In His Image Photography retains copyright of all images it produces and reserves the right to display or publish any image for marketing or other purposes. If you would not like your images to be used for this purpose, please let us know.

At Ruthie’s, we take pride in having happy, satisfied customers. If something should go wrong with your session or prints, we are more than willing to do whatever it takes to correct the problem, including redoing the session or making new prints. If you are still not satisfied, we will refund your money. We will do whatever it takes to make sure you are 100 percent satisfied with your experience with us.
